— A house fire in southern Granville County caused significant damage to the property but no injuries Friday evening.

Fire officials suspect natural causes in the fire at 1124 Corrina Road, said Greg Hockaday, chief of the Brassfield Volunteer Fire Department in Franklinton. The fire marshal will investigate further.

Hockaday said fire spread to about half of the house. Firefighters from Brassfield, Stony Hill, Creedmoor, Youngsville and Wake Forest responded.
