Michael Munger: Cartoon’s message clear

July 4, 2013

Cartoon’s message clear

You didn’t really run a cartoon on July 2 depicting a collection of journalists who have been arrested by the Justice Department for the crime of disagreeing with President Obama. You didn’t really show them with their mouths taped, the symbol of being silenced by the power of the state. You didn’t really show President Obama conducting a kind of show trial in front of more compliant journalists, announcing that dissent would not be tolerated.

Did you? You did. What were you thinking?
