Cynthia Powell: ‘Different’ celebrated

Celebrating ‘different’

Thank you to John Drescher for his June 29 column “He lives his faith life in 3-D.”

Gerald Baugh is a frequent team member at our annual Hesed retreat for adults with and without developmental disabilities. I am continually uplifted by the insight and contributions that those who are “differently abled” make to our lives and communities.

Thanks to churches like Hayes Barton UMC that welcome them to their congregations and to friends such as Sarah Millsaps and volunteers. We tend to receive much more than we give.
