Eric Thomas: Our ‘Sharia’ law

Our ‘Sharia’ law

It’s interesting that, appended onto a law intending to keep one religion out of the state legal code, the state Senate has passed a bill that enshrines another religious edict.

We are protected from the nonexistent threat of Islamic Sharia law but are, at the same time, oppressed by a religiously inspired anti-abortion bill. I guess Sharia law is OK after all, as long as it’s our own, homegrown version of it!
