Eleanor M. Tutor

Eleanor Mangum Tutor, 89, passed away on Friday. A native of Harnett County and former resident of Swansboro for 28 years, she was the daughter of the late Joe Mangum and Lillian Smith Mangum. A graduate of Lafayette High School and Campbell College, Mrs. Tutor retired from Cornell Dubilier Electronics after working there for 35 years.

Surviving are her husband of 70 years, James Gaston Tutor; daughter, Carmen Tutor Blanton and husband, Dean; James Carl Tutor and wife, Debbie; grandchildren, Amy Arnold, Carey Arnold, Carla Sparks and husband, David; Jamey Tutor and wife, Whitney, Jeffrey Tutor; great-grandchildren, Corey Arnold, Camden Arnold, Caroline Tutor and Nate Tutor.

Visitation will be Saturday night from 6–8 PM at Bryan-Lee Funeral Home, Angier and other times at the residence.

Funeral service will be held Sunday at 3:00 PM at Chalybeate Springs Baptist Church with burial to follow in the church cemetery.
