Ingeborg Hildebrand Talton, M.D.

Ingeborg Hildebrand Talton, M.D., Associate Professor Emeritus, Department of Anesthesiology at Duke University Medical Center died on July 4, 2013 at Croasdaile Village. She was a native of Germany and was married to the late W.I. Talton. She attended medical schools at the Universities of Heidelberg and Frankfurt and received her training in Anesthesiology at McGill University affiliated hospitals, Montreal, Quebec, Canada. She was also a fellow in Behavioral Sciences of the Center for Study of Aging and Human Development at Duke, and for over 17 years on the faculty there in the Department of Anesthesiology. She is survived by one sister, Elisabeth Weber, and two nieces, Evelin Pussert and Birgit Geiss, all of Germany. She was preceded in death by her niece Betty Sambleson of Myrtle Beach, SC.

A funeral service will be held Monday, 10 a.m. at Duke Chapel with Rev. James B. Craven, III officiating. Burial will follow at the Sunset Memorial Park in Smithfield, NC.
