NCSU's Baker named a scholar

— For the third-straight year, Amanda Baker from the N.C. State women’s golf team has been named a Women’s Golf Coaches Association (WGCA) All-American Scholar.

Baker graduated in May with a degree in business administration. She is the only three-time recipient of the award in program history.

Baker competed in six tournaments during the 2012-13 season and tied for the team lead with a 74.1 scoring average in three fall events.

The criteria for selection include a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50.

Duke: Sophomore Celine Boutier will represent France at the 2013 European Ladies’ Amateur Team Championship from July 9-13 at the Fulford Golf Club in York, England.

The championship will feature 20 countries , each with a team of six golfers.
