Power outage affects 3,200 in southeast Durham, traffic lights

— Duke Power reported that more than 3,200 customers were without power in Durham on Tuesday morning, and police were investigating an accident in the area of Ellis Road and Miami Boulevard.

There were no injuries reported, but police officers reported traffic lights were out at numerous intersections.

Power company crews were working to restore service, but it was unclear if it could be restored in time for the morning commute.
