Thomas Imler: Giffords duping us

Giffords duping us

I read the story of the visit from Gabby Giffords and her husband pushing their gun control agenda ("Never stop fighting," July 8). Like most liberals, their visit was only for those who agree with them. Neither they nor their agenda could stand the scrutiny of their opponents.

It seems odd that their tour took them to normally gun-friendly states, but they avoided places like Chicago, where 72 people were shot in one weekend. Of course, they don’t want to highlight the failure of gun laws.

I’m sorry for Giffords’ pain, but her husband and she are nothing but attention-seeking dupes.
