Robert Nance Honeycutt, 81, of Raleigh, North Carolina lost his courageous battle with cancer on Tuesday, July 9, 2013. Bob was born in Lincolnton, NC.

Bob joined the United States Air Force in 1951 and proudly served until his retirement in 1971. During his career he was stationed in Germany and Thailand and, also served as an Air Force Recruiter. Following his retirement he spent the next 32 years as a Corporate Pilot for several corporations such as GTE, Collier Cobb Insurance, Tuscarora Corporation and Dr. Keith Brodie at Devonwood Inc. Bob will be remembered as wonderful pilot, avid fisherman, golfer and Duke Basketball fan.

Bob is preceded by his loving wife of 35 years, Brenda Keith Honeycutt who just passed 2 months ago.

Bob his survived by his daughters, Barbara Dean Honeycutt of the home, Debbie H. Helderman of Lenoir, Karen H. King of Raleigh; son, David Honeycutt of Lenoir and 5 grandchildren.

A Private service will be held at a later date with Burial in Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, VA. In Lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to, Hospice of Wake County, www.hospiceofwake.org or a charity of your choice.
