RALEIGH — Wake County sheriffs deputies arrested a 26-year-old woman and a 27-year-old man Wednesday night on charges that they were conspiring with each other to traffic in cocaine and had sold the drug to an informant.
Nathaniel Jarmal Edmundson was charged with selling cocaine on July 4 and 6 and Wednesday and with having two pistols and a 12-gauge shotgun illegally because he has a 2007 conviction for cocaine possession.
Ashley Michelle Talley was charged with selling cocaine to the informant Wednesday.
Arrests reports listed Edmundson and Talley as living at 401 Westcliff Court in Raleigh, where deputies arrested them.
The charges listed in arrest warrants for Edmundson were four counts of cocaine trafficking involving between 28 and 200 grams of the drug, two counts of possession with intent to sell and deliver and four counts of selling and delivering cocaine and two counts of maintaining a Chevrolet as a place for keeping and selling drugs.
Deputy S.T. Menzie also filed misdemeanor charges against Edmundson of possessing marijuana and drug paraphernalia
Talley was accused of four counts of trafficking in cocaine and one count of conspiracy.
Police commonly cite one count of drug trafficking for possessing a drug, one for transporting it and one for delivering it to someone, though all involve the same event.
Talley was being held in lieu of $100,000 bail and was scheduled to appear in court Thursday.
Edmundson was being held in lieu of $603,000 bail and also was due in court Thursday.
