Kathleen S. Wilson

Kathleen S. Wilson, age 58 of Salem, AL made her transition on 7/10/2013 following a six-year cancer experience. She was born on 8/21/1954 in Fort Hood, Texas.

She has lived in numerous places in the United States. Most recently she worked as a Nurse Informatics Specialist where she utilized her Systems Analyst and Registered Nursing experience and education. She enjoyed teaching, learning and earned four college degrees.

Ms. Wilson enjoyed a rich and deep spiritual life over 30 years. Her spiritual work was the driving passion and focus of her life. She authored and published her first book in 2011, Child of Mine: Spiritual Healing from My Child's Drug Addiction. For enjoyment, she loved traveling, reading, dancing and nature.

Ms. Wilson was preceded in death by her daughter, Ginger Deanne Wilson, who made her transition in 2009.

Ms. Wilson is survived by her loving mother, Shirley J. Baker; her father, Floyd Baker, Sr.; her sister, Sandra Smice; and her brothers Floyd Baker, Jr., Mark Baker, and Jonathan Baker. She is also survived by her granddaughter, Cali Castilleja.

A memorial celebration of life service will be held at her church, The Unity Church of the Triangle. Date to be announced.
