2 men charged with robbing restaurant at gunpoint

— Police on Friday charged two men with the armed robbery of a Chinese restaurant in Raleigh.

Davon Kareen Allen, 23, of 2120 Ruark Court and Omari Lan, 18, of 102 Ramsey St., both in Raleigh, have been charged with one felony count each of robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy to commit robbery with a dangerous weapon, according to arrest warrants filed Friday at the Wake County Magistrate’s Office.

Police also charged Allen with possession of a firearm by a felon, court records show.

The men have been accused of using a Taurus .38 caliber revolver to rob the Jumbo China restaurant in the 400 block of Six Forks Road, court records show.

Prior to his arrest, Allen was serving three years probation after he was convicted of robbery with a dangerous weapon in 2011, court records show.

Allen is currently in custody at the Wake County jail, his bail set at $150,000, court records show.

Lan is also in custody at the jail under a $100,000 bail, court records show.
