Police searching for missing school band trailer

From staff reportsJuly 12, 2013

— Police are searching for a 14-foot trailer stolen from Wake Forest High School’s marching band and the thieves who took it.

School officials noticed on July 1 that a blue-domed, white trailer was not parked in its usual spot near the baseball field, town spokesman Bill Crabtree, said Friday.

The school officials initially thought one of the members of the band’s booster club had moved the trailer. After making several calls to booster members, however, they notified police on Monday that the trailer had apparently been stolen.

Crabtree said the trailer is used to carry the marching band’s equipment, but was empty when it was stolen.

Anyone with information about the missing trailer can call the Wake Forest Police Department at 919-554-6150, or the police department tip line at 919-435-9610. All calls are confidential.
