Your July 9 editorial “Legally unfair” was about your perception of how the Republicans have taken unfair advantage of their position as majority political party to redraw the voting lines. You say that Republicans added seats and improved their political position by redrawing the lines, despite the fact that the new lines were approved by the Obama administration and two registered Democrat appeals court judges.
Perhaps North Carolinians voted for Republicans because they got tired of Democrat excuses for education dropout rates, borrowing $2.5 billion from the federal government without public discussion, changing us from the “Good Roads” state to a poor roads state, doing nothing to reduce a 9 percent unemployment rate, not to mention Jim Black, Meg Scott Phipps, Frank Ballance, John Edwards, Mike Easley, etc.
Your newspaper would be more productive by being less rabidly partisan.
