Girl Scout offers health tips to summer campers

Mary-Margaret Mabry Brooks of Raleigh has earned the Gold Award, the highest achievement in Girl Scouting.

For her Gold Award project, Mary-Margaret worked with a summer camp at the Method Road Community Center in Raleigh to teach children the importance of healthy living. She led weekly lessons about nutrition, exercise and staying cool in the summer heat.

Mary-Margaret, the daughter of Mark and Laura Brooks, attended Enloe High School and is a member of Troop 1237, led by Tillie Wilkins and Laura Brooks.
