Here is the short answer to the rhetorical question in the July 14 letter “Turtle vs. human” as to why sea turtles’ eggs deserve greater protection than women’s eggs: Sea turtles, like countless other (animal and plant) species, are endangered (or extinct) due to the wantonly thoughtless, selfish activities of one over-populous endangering species – homo sapiens.
