Give Kroger a chance
Josh Shaffer’s July 15 column “A lament for Harris Teeter, homegrown grocery” was completely unfair to Kroger. I shop at Kroger and Harris Teeter, and both stores have their positive attributes. It is hard to beat the produce and meat departments at Kroger, and the store is always clean and fully stocked.
I enjoy shopping at both stores, and during my 35 years of living in Raleigh, there have been many changes in grocery stores. All changes have created a choice for all people who purchase groceries for their families.
Marilyn Monroe once said, “Sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together.”
Let’s give Kroger a chance before forming an opinion of what is to come.
