Girl Scout leads campaign to combat childhood obesity

Jillian Ernetta Campbell of Raleigh has earned the Gold Award, the highest achievement in Girl Scouting.

For her Gold project, Jillian conducted a “Childhood Obesity and Healthy Lifestyles = Active + Food Choices” campaign to increase awareness of the effects of childhood obesity in her community. She led swimming classes and made presentations to young people about the importance of exercise and nutrition.

Jillian, the daughter of Ernest and Loretta Mask Campbell, is a member of Troop 1207, led by Loretta Mask Cambpell and Loretta Barren and is a recent graduate of Enloe High School.
