Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin Atwood Skinner III of Wilson announce the engagement of their daughter, Ann Brooks Skinner, to Whitley Timberlake Brown, son of Mr. and Mrs. Milton Selby Brown III all of Raleigh. The bride is the granddaughter of Mrs. Richard Thorp Smith, Jr. and the late Mr. Smith, and the late Mr. and Mrs. B. Atwood Skinner Jr., all of Wilson. Mr. Brown is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Casper Hill Timberlake, Jr. of Lexington and Mrs. Betty Whitley Brown and the late Mr. Milton Selby Brown Jr. of Washington, N.C. An October 19 wedding is planned at St. Timothy’s Episcopal Church in Wilson.
