Legislators need ‘time out’

In regards to the July 22 news article “Budget: Vouchers in, tenure out”: A $120 million cut in funding for teacher assistants? This is absurd.

Being a former teacher I can attest to the fact that assistants are a necessity to every classroom full of young children. They are not a frill. Teachers are not magicians who can wave a magic wand and fill the glue bottles, run off papers, comfort every need, etc, etc, etc.

I suspect these legislators have never been in a public school classroom and suggest they all be sent to time out.
