Latoya Stephenson: Rural Center helpful

Rural Center helpful

The North Carolina Rural Economic Development Center has been a motivating force, encouraging me to pursue my dreams and make a difference in my community.

Without the help of the rural center, there is no doubt in my mind that I would not have accomplished as much as I have today.

My dream was to own my own party supply store, and today I am watching my dream come true. My New Generation Ventures coach helped me accomplish my goals throughout my startup process and made it possible for me to take classes that would enhance my business skills. NGV also provided assistance for me to take balloon decorating courses to make myself more marketable.

I cannot express how thankful I am for this organization and all that is does for communities throughout North Carolina.
