Students ace chemistry exam

July 29, 2013

Two students from Raleigh Charter High School aced the local Chemistry Olympiad exam, qualifying them to take the national exam last spring.

Dan Qu, a senior last spring, and Andrew Zhou, who was a junior, were among only about 1,000 students nationwide to qualify for the national test, which is used to select a top tier of students to attend a summer Chemistry Olympiad Study Camp from which four students go on to represent the U.S. at the international level.

The competitions are organized by the American Chemical Society.
