Police seeking 2 Duke Gardens robbery suspects

— The Duke University Police Department issued warrants Wednesday for two individuals suspected of being involved in two July robberies in the Duke Gardens.

Denshawn S. Thompson, 20, and Tamisha L. Thompson, 20, are both charged with numerous crimes, including armed robbery, stemming from the July 15 and July 25 robberies.

Neither person was in custody as of Wednesday afternoon.

“These charges are a result of aggressive investigatory work and the assistance of the community, Durham Police and other agencies,” said John Dailey, chief of Duke Police. “We never want these crimes to occur and appreciate the excellent work that has gone into these cases.”
