RALEIGH — Two brothers stabbed each other during a fight and hurt an uncle who tried to break it up, and both face charges, police said Monday.
Rajaun Anthony Taylor, 23, of 1225 Robinson Ave. was arrested at WakeMed Hospital on Saturday morning and charged with two counts of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury.
Police also got arrest warrants charging Robert Earl Taylor, 22, of the same address with the same offenses, police spokesman Jim Sughrue said Monday.
The younger brother had not yet been arrested Monday afternoon.
The men’s uncle, James Michael Smith, was hurt when he intervened in the fight, Sughrue said.
According to police reports, the Taylors were having an argument outside in the 1200 block of Robinson Avenue and then continued it around the corner in the 500 block of Bart Street and drew knives, Sughrue said.
Robert Taylor was stabbed in the face, head and chest, police said, while Rajaun Taylor was stabbed in the chest and stomach.
Police said Smith was stabbed in the side.
All the injuries were serious, but not considered life-threatening, Sughrue said.
All three were Taken to WakeMed, but neither Robert Taylor nor James Smith were listed as patients on Monday afternoon, a hospital spokeswoman said.
Rajaun Taylor was held in lieu of $200,000 bail for a court appearance Monday.
