Motorcyclist dies in Durham wreck

— An accident at the intersection of South Alston Avenue and Dayton Street left a motorcyclist dead Monday night, Durham police reported.

Daniel Antwan Osbourne, 36, of Durham was traveling north on South Alston Avenue at about 8:53 p.m. when he collided with a southbound vehicle that was attempting to make a left turn onto Dayton Street, according to a news release from police.

The motorcyclist was transported to Duke Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The traffic crash remains under investigation and no charges have been filed yet, said Durham police spokeswoman Kammie Michael.

No further information is available at this time.
