Blake Shelton was just another Music City hopeful when his self-titled debut album was released in 2001. The lead single, “Austin,” spent five weeks at the top of the country singles chart, and Shelton’s career sped forward at warp speed. Today, Shelton is one of country music’s brightest stars, the reigning Entertainer and three-time Male Vocalist of the Year, husband of country spitfire Miranda Lambert and coach on TV’s “The Voice.” Friday, Shelton brings his hits, along with songs from his current CD, “Based on a True Story,” to Time Warner Cable Music Pavilion at Walnut Creek in Raleigh. Eason Corbin and Jana Kramer will also perform. The show starts at 7:30 p.m. Info: livenation.com
