Right to vote
Judging from the Aug. 6 letter “Partisan points,” the writer fails to understand that it is the photo of the current commander in chief that is displayed in military facilities. It is not a political statement. Before the current president, it was President Bush.
His father’s VA benefits are a benefit of his service, not his constitutional right. The repeated request for ID is to reduce the chances of a medical mistake. While I thank the father for his service, his son does not seem to grasp what that service was for. Voting is his, and everyone’s, constitutional right.
