Sam Mahl

Samuel Mahl of Wake Forest has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in Boy Scouting.

For his Eagle project, Sam led the construction of six wood-framed garden beds and installed a rain barrel and irrigation system at Wake Forest Presbyterian Church. Produce grown in the garden beds by church youth is donated to local food banks.

Sam, the son of Tim and Tracy Mahl, was a member of Troop 500 and graduated from Southeast Raleigh High School this spring. He plans to attend UNC-Asheville in the fall.
