The top three finishers in the school-level contest were seventh-grader Cordelia Gilligan in first place, seventh-grader Sarah Staehle in second place and eighth-grader Jackie Keul in third. Each received a trophy, and their names were engraved on a contest plaque. The topic of this year’s contest was “A Person Who Has Overcome.”
