Lincoln County authorities say a man is jailed after deputies found methamphetamine inside a teddy bear on the back seat of the suspect’s vehicle.
Rigoberto Gomez-Contino, 32, of Hendersonville, was arrested Tuesday morning after a traffic stop on U.S. 321, according to the Lincoln County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say they got a tip and followed Gomez-Contino’s vehicle, eventually pulling over the driver. Deputies say a search turned up 3 ounces of meth hidden inside the teddy bear.
Gomez-Contino was charged with trafficking methamphetamine, possession of a controlled substance with intent to manufacture, and maintaining a vehicle or dwelling for a controlled substance. He was jailed in Lincoln County without bond.
