SALISBURY – — Sheriff’s deputies say they have captured one of the two men they were seeking in connection with an alleged drug operation in Rowan County.
Deputies report arresting Lawrence Gray Hilliard about 1 a.m. Wednesday. He is the seventh person charged in the case, which deputies say involves the trafficking of pain-killers such as Hydrocodone, Oxycodone and Methadone.
Hilliard, of Salisbury, is charged with trafficking and possession with intent to sell and deliver.
Still at large is Jeffery Lane Gurley, of Rockwell. Deputies ask that anyone with information as to Gurley’s whereabouts contact the sheriff’s office at 704-216-8700.
