Scout builds garden beds at school

Hugh Waddell Stephens II of Raleigh has earned the rank of Eagle Scout, the highest achievement in Boy Scouting.

For his Eagle project, Hugh designed and led the construction of raised garden beds at Raleigh Charter High School. Students will use the garden beds to learn about nutrition and sustainability.

Hugh, son of Mark W. and Hannah H. Stephens, is a member of Troop 207, sponsored by Forest Hills Baptist Church in Raleigh. He is a recent graduate of Raleigh Charter High School.
