Elizabeth Ashley Lamb and Matthew Scott Poindexter were married on August 17, 2013, at West Raleigh Presbyterian Church. Reverend Lori Pistor and Reverend Virginia Taylor officiated. A reception followed at the North Hills Club.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Terrell Hadley Lamb of Raleigh. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. John Ralph Friday of Raleigh and the late Judge Friday and of Mr. Terrell Leo Lamb of Graham and the late Mrs. Lamb.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Scott Poindexter of Walnut Cove. He is the grandson of Mrs. Jesse Lee Poindexter of Winston-Salem and the late Mr. Poindexter and of Mrs. Maurice Poindexter Watts of Germanton and the late Mr. Watts.
The bride was escorted by her father. The maid of honor was Emily Allison Lamb, sister of the bride. Bridesmaids were Emily Davis Poindexter, sister of the groom; Lauren-Kelly Devine; Emily Gardner; and Rosemary Reeves. Amelia and Luisa Giordano were flower girls.
The father of the groom served as best man. Groomsmen were Scott Gallisdorfer, Michael Ring, Tripp Gobble, and Henry Spelman.
Anneliese Gegenheimer and Michael McFee were readers.
The bride is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Journalism and Mass Communication and in French. She was presented at the 2007 Terpsichorean Ball in Raleigh. The bride is Marketing Coordinator with DurhamCares.
The groom is a graduate of UNC-Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. He is also a graduate of UNC School of Law where he received a Juris Doctor degree.
The couple will reside in Carrboro.
