Getting hands dirty
Regarding the Aug. 18 article “N.C. growers seek veto override”: Actually, the state legislature does not have to reconvene to override Gov. Pat McCrory’s veto of the immigration bill to address our state’s farmers’ concerns about laborers to pick crops.
Instead, the governor could hire a bunch of recent Republican college graduates and pay them $80,000 annual salaries with taxpayer money to harvest the crops.
