Vernon Abbott: Costly incompetence

Costly incompetence

Occasionally I check out the editorial page and read how Republicans are mistreating the poor and disadvantaged. After reading the Aug. 18 front-page story “After blown case, Isley still has job,” I wonder whether Mark Isley is a Republican and whether Roy Cooper has changed his party affiliation.

Taking 14 years out of an innocent man’s life and paying out $7.85 million prove that incompetence is very costly.
