Cary teen earns full ride

Jordan Dawson of Cary was awarded this year’s N.C. A&T State University Lewis and Elizabeth Dowdy Scholarship.

The scholarship covers four years of tuition, room, board, and fees and is named for the first N.C. A&T chancellor and his wife.

Jordan, a recent graduate of Cary High School, also received scholarships from the Airport Minority Advisory Council, Cary Lodge 198, Redskins Magazine, the Western Wake Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Campbell University and Hampton University. He is the son of Lin and Margo Dawson.
