Students help in NC Senate

Courtney Michelle Baptiste of Chapel Hill, Griffin Fletcher Matsuo of Cary, Treston Amon Farrington of Holly Springs, Andrew John Cavari of Garner, and Candace Latrice Brown and Christine Beatrice Long of Raleigh served as pages in the N.C. Senate last spring.

Pages serve for one week, attending Senate sessions and committee meetings and assisting staff members with clerical duties. Treston, Candace and Christine were sponsored by Sen. Phil Berger. Courtney was sponsored by Sen. Eleanor Kinnaird, Griffin was sponsored by Sen. Tamara Barringer and Andrew’s sponsor was Sen. Chad Barefoot.

Courtney is the daughter of Perry and Janice Baptiste and was a student at Chapel Hill High School.

Griffin, the son of Christopher and Amy Matsuo, attended Green Hope High School.

Treston, the son of Shelley Farrington, attended Holly Springs High School.

Andrew is the son of John and Joye Cavari.

Candace, the daughter of Jamal and Shandolyn Brown, was a student at Garner High School.

Christine is the daughter of Steven and Beth Long and attended Enloe High School.
