Epilepsy group thanks teen

Claire Goray

Claire Goray of Durham received a certificate of appreciation from the Epilepsy Foundation of North Carolina in thanks for a fundraiser she held for the organization last spring.

Claire asked fellow students at Cary Academy, where she is a sophomore this year, to wear purple on March 26, also known as Purple Day, to raise awareness of epilepsy, and she gave out vouchers at school and elsewhere that prompted a donation to the foundation when used at a local Yogurt Mountain store.
