Rick and Mary Fran Perkinson of Raleigh enjoyed their 50th wedding anniversary on August 24, 2013. They were married on that date in 1963 at Rosemary Baptist Church in Roanoke Rapids, NC. They settled in Raleigh in 1965. They are active members of Greystone Baptist Church and enjoy spending time with their children and grandchildren, who all live in Raleigh.

The entire family celebrated the milestone anniversary at a party in July with Mary Fran's mother, Ruby Carver of Roanoke Rapids, and her sisters and brothers-in-law, of Raleigh.
