Chapel Hill’s Deep Dish Theater Company has opened its 13th season with a real winner, David Lindsay-Abaire’s 2011 Broadway hit, “Good People.” It traces the human comedy in lead character Margie’s search for a new job after being fired for missing work while taking care of her mentally disabled daughter. When a former boyfriend, now a successful doctor, comes back to town, she mulls ways to get him to help. 8 p.m. Friday-Saturday; 2 p.m. Sunday (through Sept. 14). $16-$24. 919-968-1515 or deepdishtheater.org.
