Winning Powerball ticket sold in Cary

— A winning Powerball ticket worth $1 million before taxes was sold at a convenience store in Cary, but the winner hasn’t come forward yet.

The winning ticket from Wednesday night’s drawing was sold at the Grocery Boy Jr. at the corner of Kildaire Farm and Penny roads.

The winner matched all five white balls on the Powerball ticket – 2-9-26-45-47. The odds of hitting those numbers are 1 in 5.1 million.

The winner has 180 days to claim the prize, according to the N.C. Education Lottery.
