Beth Gorman: A moral plea offer

A moral plea offer

Wake County District Attorney Colon Willoughby offered a great deal to the Moral Monday protesters (Aug. 13 news story). These people should take the offer and be grateful for the court’s kindness and Willoughby’s offer.

If Rev. William Barber and his group of protesters do not take this deal (which is a puff deal) then let these law breakers clean our highways or parks or work as a teacher’s assistant for a year.

Moral Mondays got out of hand and cost the N.C. taxpayers too much money. Next time Barber takes up a cause, ask him where his paycheck is coming from. Then see how “moral” comes into play.
