Pack stays unbeaten in men’s soccer

— N.C. State men’s soccer remained unbeaten and untied Tuesday with a 2-1, double overtime win at William & Mary.

Fender ripped a free kick from 28 yards to the right corner of the net to make the Wolfpack 3-0.

William & Mary (1-2-0) took a 1-0 lead in the 66th minute on a goal from Jackson Eskay, but Alex Martinez answered almost immediately.

Duke 1, Ga. Southern 0: Blue Devils junior Nick Palodichuk put a cross into the back of the net less than five minutes into the second half and goalie Alex Long had eight saves, including a diving stop with just seconds remaining, to lift Duke in Durham.

North Carolina: Crystal Dunn was named the ACC Women’s Player of the Week.


Campbell: Tahnia Ravnjak won the women’s individual crown and sophomores Mikko Lehtovuori, Jeremy Milton and Alvaro Veiga played their final hole at 4-under par as Campbell claimed a one-stroke victory in the Golfweek Program Challenge at Myrtle Beach. The men

Duke/North Carolina: With 18 holes remaining at the Dale McNamara Fall Preview, the Blue Devils’ women’s golf team held a one-shot lead at the par-70 Tulsa Country Club in Tulsa, Okla. North Carolina is 10th.

Blue Devil senior Laetitia Beck was 3-under and now sits in a four-way tie for the individual lead at 2-under.


Campbell 3, East Carolina 1: Camels sophomore Katelyn Layden saved a set point in the third and the Camels went on to win 21-25, 25-14, 30-28, 25-19 at Buies Creek.
