Students assist in N.C. Senate

September 15, 2013 

Cortney Lynn McCoy of Clayton, Jazmyn Lanae Jones of Knightdale, and Antoinette B. Dyer, Tyler Alexander Goldbach and brothers Andrew Taylor Scott and Justin Eugene Scott of Raleigh served as pages earlier this year in the N.C. Senate.

Pages serve for one week, attending Senate sessions and committee meetings and assisting staff members with clerical duties.

Cortney, the daughter of Demetrice and Betty McCoy, and Jazmyn, the daughter of Anthony and Schmett Jones, were sponsored by Sen. Tom Apodaca. Antoinette, the daughter of Lawson Dyer and Jane Brice-Dyer, was sponsored by Sen. Martin Nesbitt. All three were students at Word of God Christian Academy in Raleigh.

Tyler, the son of Richard and Darlene Goldbach and a student at Panther Creek High School in Cary, was sponsored by Sen. Nesbitt.

Andrew and Justin, sons of Kevin and Sharon Scott, both attended Hilltop Christian School in Fuquay-Varina. Andrew was sponsored by Sen. Nesbitt and Justin was sponsored by Sen. Clark Jenkins.
