Statistically speaking: Small businesses optimistic about holiday season

Small businesses are optimistic about the upcoming holiday shopping season, according to a recent survey by Kabbage, an online provider of working capital. The report shows that 41 percent of businesses are expecting a stronger holiday season this year than in 2012. Here are more findings:

65% of small businesses surveyed expect to seek more financing than in 2012 in anticipation of a strong holiday season.

44% of small businesses do most of their selling during the holiday season.

38% said sales are consistent throughout the year.
