From staff reportsSeptember 16, 2013

— A 20-year-old Raleigh man was due in court Monday for an appearance on two child-rape charges on which police arrested him Sunday.

Authorities disclosed few details in an arrest warrant charging Rahqi Bilal Tyler of 10110 Strome Ave. with two counts of first-degree rape involving a child.

The warrant says the victim was more than six years younger than Tyler, which is a category for sexual abuse charges in state law.

The incidents in which Tyler is charged happened between Aug. 21 and Sept. 11, police said in the warrant.

Tyler was being held in lieu of $2 million bail for the court appearance.
