Three members of the Durham Children’s Choir were selected to sing in American Choral Directors Association’s National Honors Choruses at the ACDA’s national conference this year.
Emily Turkington, an eighth-grader last spring at Brogden Middle School in Durham, was selected for the National Middle School/Junior High Honors Chorus.
Grey Lehman, a seventh-grader at Durham School of the Arts, and Carl May, a fifth-grader at Durham Academy, were selected for the National Children’s and Community Youth Honor Chorus.
The groups’ performances were at the ACDA’s conference in Dallas.
