Wake Forest No. 1 in N&O's area high school football rankings

Wake Forest High becomes the fourth team in four weeks to claim the No. 1 spot in The News & Observer high school football poll.

Garner was No. 1 when it lost to Cleveland three weeks ago. Durham Hillside was No. 1 before it lost to Greensboro Dudley two weeks ago. Last week, No. 1 Leesville Road lost to Panther Creek.

Garner moves up to No. 2 following its win over Enloe and Orange climbs to No. 3 despite not playing last week. Leesville Road slips to No. 4 and undefeated Wakefield goes up to No. 5.
