— A federal judge on Wednesday sentenced a Cary man to 25 years in prison for making child pornography.

Kyle Martin Inch, 28, was charged in an undercover investigation by Cary police that began in 2011.

Investigators discovered first that Inch’s computer had been used to distribute child pornography. A search warrant led them to find hundreds of photos and videos of child sexual abuse, including Inch’s recordings of his own sexual abuse of a child, according to the U.S. Attorney’s Office in Raleigh.

Inch pleaded guilty in May to the child pornography charge. The sentence includes a lifetime of supervised release.
